Never underestimate the Fice crew when it comes to throwing a banging SLC style shindig. On Saturday, October 3rd, Fice boutique in Salt Lake City, in conjunction with Oakley, hosted an invite-only shop party to officially launch the “Fice X” limited edition Frogskin.
With design inspiration from FICE owner and veteran Oakley snowboarder Laura Hadar, the 100-piece exclusive warranted a unique launch party – it was a perfect opportunity to invite the hippest of SLC to the one-of-a-kind boutique to scope the shades.
The crowd hit capacity early on with guests like Heikki Sorsa, Forrest Shearer, Gabe L’Heureux, Grete Eliassen, Tyler McLeod, Erin Comstock and Zach Siegel all coming out to support the cause.
“Salt Lake City has been long overdue for an event like this,” said Laura Hadar, who has been with Oakley for ten years. “This city is in one of the most conservative areas of the country, creating a subculture that is hell bent on creating a name for themselves. Salt Lake is a place where you can stand out, speak loud, create more and be part of a community that embraces, supports and encourages each other. At Fice, we are just glad to be a part of that and excited that we can give back to the community we love so much.”
As the free Pabst and Red Bill ran dry, the party shifted to Club Sound where the rest of the SLC scene crowded in for a much anticipated live performance by Ming and Ping. The next level show rocked the house as a perfectly pitched end to the evening’s festivities.
