Briefly describe yourself… Stoked on life, I have an excuse to follow winter and ski all year, love it.

How did you get into freeskiing?

I grew up skiing in Scotland, with intentions of serious work after leaving school. Luckily, I fell into doing seasons and competing was a progression from that.

What has been your scariest freeski experience?

Last season in Verbier we hiked the Plan de Feu. We had checked the snow pack and it appeared stable, but I set off a large avalanche that took out the face. Makes you aware however careful you are, you’re still in an unstable environment.

What’s your biggest achievement to date?

Finishing University, I just wanted to go skiing. In skiing, I’m stoked on a lot of my results but personally, my biggest achievments are making myself do the things that push my ability and generally scare me.

You’ve travelled loads, where’s your favourite place?

Wanaka, New Zealand. As an all round place it’s pretty rad. You’ve got skiing but living down in a town you can also get away from it and go biking or something.

What do you take with you when you travel?

Way too much stuff I don’t need. Essentials though are music, book and laptop. Also Vaseline Aloe fresh deodorant, only seem to be able to get it in the UK so I always stock up.

How do you stay in shape?

I’m much more dedicated in the UK in anticipation of skiing, I go biking, ride horses and a bit of strength training. However in season I tend to lapse as feel I’m doing more excercise than I am, but I do a fair amount of swimming.

How do you stay beautiful despite being on the slopes all day?

Wear loads of sunscreen in order to try and stop the outrageous goggle tan forming. Nothing beautiful about a girl with what looks like a five o’clock shadow.

What do you do when you’re not shredding?

Try not to get sucked into the sofa. I work as a sports massage therapist and am studying the CHEK institute to stop my brain turning to mulch. I am easily persuaded by a party though…
