Maui Surfer Girls Announces 2007 Summer Retreats: Celebrating Seven Years of Empowering Girls Through Surfing
This summer Maui Surfer Girls celebrates seven years of enriching the lives of hundreds of girls and women from around the world. MSG (Maui Surfer Girls) is the original surf camp for girls and women in Hawaii. Going beyond the norm of most surf camps, where students are herded into large classes, MSG has the smallest class size (3:1 instructor to student ratio) in the surf camp industry.
The Maui Surfer Girls program aims to develop a holistic surfer girl. A day in the life of a Maui Surfer Girl starts at 7am doing yoga on the front lawn of their oceanfront facility. And then it’s off to Maui’s premiere longboarding spots minutes from camp. In the afternoon, the Maui surfer girls re-fuel on a healthy lunch, participate in an educational ‘chalk talk’ on oceanography, and then sign up for adventure activities like windsurfing lessons, rainforest hike, arts and crafts, and more. Evening activities include campfires with guest professional surfer girls, talent shows, surfer chick flicks and more.
