Since the Winter is finally on now, we went to get a bit of shred time in the Zillertal on Saturday (before heading on to Landeck to test the best of next season’s boards for you, hard working bees that we are) and we’re super stoked on the Forum ‘Spinster’ board we’re riding this season!
It features Forum’s special Double Chilly Dog shape – if that sounds like something to eat to you, it’s a combined camber with rocker on the tip and tail and regular camber underneath the bindings. This ensures you get the best from both worlds, meaning forgiving playfulness of a rocker board with the strength and stability of a regular camber.
Okay we admit we fell in love with the evil kitty cat at first sight, but taking our own advise seriously we never judge a board by its looks and this one rides as epic as it looks! You can try all sorts of new tricks without fear of embarrassment, as the rocker prevents the edges of tip and tail from catching when you don’t properly stick it. Which is a bit of down side with most rocker boards, as they tend to get a bit chattery when you charge or battle moguls, but the regular camber underneath the bindings ensure that you’ve still got enough edge hold for icier conditions or high speeds.
So if you’re looking for a new mountain friend you can have fun with but also improve your skills, this is your stick!
