Burton AM Tour lands on its feet at the Snowworld Landgraaf (NED) on October 20th, as it launches into its third season. The tour is Europe’s largest amateur freestyle snowboarding series and will stop in 19 resorts in 15 countries. The contests is for riders under the age of 19 and under and will give the contestants a chance to push their snowboarding skills to the max while experiencing a real contest atmosphere.
The tour will rock all over Europe all winter and will have its last stop in Val Senales (ITA) on 26th April 2008, where tour winners will win the overall prize of a whole Burton European Open Package, with a reserved open starting slot and board and lodging for Europe’s biggest snowboard competition held each year in Laax, Swtzerland. All riders also compete for a brand new Z250 Suzuki and prizes from tour sponsors Buton, RED and Anon.
Ivar Fougstedt, Burton Europe’s Marketing Director, comments the new tour schedule this way: “With its third season, the Burton AM Tour has been established as the most advanced snowboarding grass-roots event series in Europe.
