This Crazy Edible Water Bubble Means You’ll Never Need A Water Bottle Again

Yes, really! How does it actually work? It’s pretty crazy…

We need to find alternatives to plastic bottles.

Whether it be the pollution of the oceans, the harming of wildlife or the sustainability of the planet, the reasons against plastic are unarguable.

Why Should I Stop Using Plastic Bags?

Alternatives to plastic bottles have been considered before, but now two guys in London think that they might have found the answer.

Their invention Ooho, is an edible,  blob like container that holds water, making a bottle unecessary!

Made of calcium and brown algae, the Ooho might sound a bit insane and yes, a little gross, but of it works? It could cut down plastic use on the planet dramatically!

We can bring change to our unsustainable habit in a big scale

One blob contains about 4cl of water, the equivalent of a sip, so drinking a bottle of water this way, would feel more like eating a packet of sweets. Weird!

“We believe Ooho can bring a radical solution to a major problem we are generating today,” says Skipping Rocks Lab.

“We are convinced that we can bring change to our unsustainable habit in a big scale.”

The team is developing the Ooho product under creative commons, so that everyone can make it for themselves, in their kitchen.

If it means we can stop the damage plastic bottles are causing to the planet, we’re definitely on board to have a go!
