There’s a reason everyone knows the name Lindsey Vonn. She is the most successful American ski racer in history – that’s including both men and women.
With an Olympic bronze and gold medal, two World Championship gold medals and four overall World Cup titles under her belt, she is without a doubt a legend among women.
However, her success has not been without some serious struggles along the way.
Whether you ski or not, this film is definitely worth bookmarking for later…
In February 2013, she tore her MCL and ACL in her knee while racing in Austria. Just nine months later, she re-tore the same ACL while training, taking her back to square one. It meant she wouldn’t be able to compete at the Sochi Winter Olympics in 2014.
Now Red Bull have released a documentary called The Climb charting Lindsey’s battle to recover and sit back and watch the Olympics she should have been competing in.
Whether you like skiing or not, this film is certainly worth a watch. So bookmark it for later when you can settle down with a cup of tea and watch the full 45 minute film.
