10 Awesome Snowboard Inspired Homes You’ll Want To Live In

If you can't live in the mountains, bring the mountains to you...

It’s every snowboarder’s dream to live in the mountains, right? But what if that’s just not possible?

If you are stuck in the city or mountain-less English countryside, there is still a way you can bring the mountain vibe to your home.

These snowboarders had some awesome decorating ideas that we are definitely going to copy in our own homes…

1) Snowboarder Home On Wheels

Guillaume and Jenna quit their jobs with the aim of travelling the world. They are currently towing their tiny house (which took them a year to build) around America and Canada.

Check out their living room with the snowboard racks on a the ceiling. Read more about their adventures here.

2) Burton Light Hanging

Got an old snowboard that you don’t know what to do with? This is a genius idea. Drill holes. Attach lights. Ta-da!

3) The Wall Rack

This is such an awesome way to store your snowboards over the summer.

This guy screwed old film reels into the wall in his Hollywood home and used them as mounts for his boards.

It looks so neat, eh?

4) Every Snowboarder’s Dream Pad

There’s something really cool about loft-style beds only accessible by ladder, isn’t there? This is pretty much every snowboarder’s dream home.

Wooden floors, comfy sofa for curling into after a day’s shredding and snow falling outside the window. One day….

5) Custom Made Snowboard Table

Nathan Seccombe is a furniture maker from New Zealand. He makes the coolest designs – including this awesome snowboard table.

6) The Gondola Bedroom

Somewhere out there, a kid is loving the fact that this is his bedroom.

Yep, it’s a bunk bed with an old fashioned Vail gondola plonked in the corner as decoration. Damn, it looks cool, doesn’t it?

7) Snowboard Wine Rack

For the slightly more adult among us, this is another inspired use of an old snowboard.

Yep, turn it into a wine rack, so you can display your two greatest passions on this planet: snowboarding and booze.

8) Snowboard Coffee Table

Snowboarder and photographer Jesse Leake has this awesome snowboard-turned-coffee table proudly displayed in his San Francisco apartment.

Such a cool idea.

9) Snowboard Art

This isn’t a functioning snowboard, but we like how it’s been turned into a piece of wall art.

You could even make this yourself at home – with some blackboard paint and a friend with very neat handwriting.

10) The Ultimate Snowboarder’s Home

Snowboard legend Mike Basich decided to give up his 4,000 square foot house and live in this tiny (but seriously cool) log cabin in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

There is no toilet or electricity but it is in the middle of the stunning Californian backcountry. And there’s a hot tub in the garden.
