So I’ve always known who Patti Smith is, but never really KNEW who she is. Recently my partner bought me copy of her memoir ‘Just Kids’ about the her life in the 70s and her relationship with the american photographer Robert Mapplethorpe. I have read about 4 pages and I’m already in love with the way she  uses words and strings together sentences that are so much more than just symbols on a page. I then get hooked on her music and subsequently make her this weeks
