Featured Edit: A Brit Weird: Snow Schatzis and Schnitzels

There was more than one winner of ‘A Brit Weird’ as the Mayrhofen crew with their edit ‘Snow Schatzis and Schnitzels’ took the joint top spot (alongside ‘The Game of Weird’). With an edit packed full of fun on the mountain we can all relate too- some park, some powder, some trampolining and a lot of laughs. Here crew member Claire tells us more…

How did it feel to be a winner of ‘A Brit Weird’?

It’s so nice to win because the top 5 were all really good and each had something different that made them stand out from each other.. i really liked the idea and graphics of the game of weird… and obviously their riding was top notch!

What did you hope would come across in your video concept?

This was my first season and I was pretty rubbish in the park at the beginning so we didn’t really film too much until we had 10 sunny days in a row at the end of January. I told Em we had to get the GoPro out as it was always just festering in her bag. We made friends with Faye (Young) because she was always in the park, as she was shaping and when she had breaks we would shred together as this little token girl group, haha! Faye told us about the comp at the end of the season when most of the snow had melted and so before everyone left we just threw all of our footage onto my hard drive and I threw the edit together when I got home. It’s great to win obviously but even if we didn’t win I’m so happy the comp was there to push us into creating something which we can look back on and be like ‘ye, wicked season!’. Please can we go back to hof already?
