Roxy present Wilder a super rad urban snowboard movie – watch the full shebang here

We just watched the new Roxy snow movie Wilder for the first time and it really is super good. Original, devoid of cliche, with sick industrial backdrops, heaps of concrete and rails and even a good old altercation with the police following the kind of car-tow session we’d love to be a part of.

We first mentioned Wilder last month, telling you we were into the backwards riding intro (as opposed to the usual predictable slam fest) and we’re stoked that it doesn’t dissappoint especially as a few of you were a bit “Meh” about Burton’s Women’s [Snowboarding] clip released last week including Lucy Johnson who posted this message on the Cooler Facebook page:

The whole thing is disappointing barely any footage of the girls riding. I don’t expect the girls section to be as long as the guys but 15 minutes of them talking about snowboarding and then showing footage of a competition we’ve already seen! The girls are capable of doing so much more and are better than ever, its just a shame the budgets for these movies are so low when it comes to the girls sections!

Anyways Wilder, which was made by the crew behind the epic Peep Show movies, stars the mighty Erin Comstock and some faces we know less well including Corinne Pasela, Joanie Robichaud, Danyale Patterson and Jessi Huege and the blurb is: “awe-inspiring tour through the frozen cityscapes of their hometown snowboard spots. From the city parks of Quebec, to the sidewalks of the Midwest, to handrails in Anchorage…”

Kick back and watch the full movie here and be sure to let us know what you think below the line or on the Cooler Facebook page or twitter.
