Red Bull Tribalquest Photo Contest, 18 – 22 February 2008, Nendaz

In February 2008 seven teams of three will traverse the Valais mountains in the region of Nendaz in quest of the three Ws. Within four days they will produce six photos per team. And the best part of all: apart from the five international professional teams that have been invited, two Public Teams are wanted for the Red Bull Tribalquest 2008. In other words: photographers wanted!

Shooting photos and traversing backcountry, snowboarding and skiing, art and sport: seven teams – each comprised of one photographer, one snowboarder and one skier or telemark skier – will travel to Nendaz for the Red Bull Tribalquest photo contest. Their mission is to capture the three Ws – Where am I? Who am I? What am I doing? – as creatively as possible on film and present them to the public. The award ceremony for the best photos will be held directly after the contest on the last day of the event. Together with an enticing monetary prize, the best newcomer in this field of photography will receive an internship of several months with the photo agency of the Red Bull Photo Files in the idyllic region of Fuschl am See, Austria.

Photographers wanted!

Apart from the five international professional teams that have been invited to compete, two other photographers and their buddies will receive a wildcard for the 2008 edition. All snow photographers can now seize this opportunity and apply together with two snowboarders, skiers or telemark skiers by 14 January 2008. The only requirements are the best photos and most convincing team descriptions. The two teams will be selected by a jury, whose decision is based on quality, creativity and team spirit.
