The longlist of entries for the London Surf / Film Festival Shorties contest is now available to peruse right here. It’s got all the chill vibes you could possibly desire, with 18 short films about surfing shot all over the globe.
Three women have made it to this stage, and all of their offerings are totally beautiful. ‘Breaking the Surface’ by Lucy Hawes is a homage to cold water surf made in conjunction with the delectable Finisterre clothing; ‘The Open Road’ by Philly Lewis shows off a breathtaking variety of New Zealand landscapes; and last year’s LSFFS ’emerging talent’ winner Ornella Hawthorn Gardez takes us to Hawaii for an insight into the day-to-day slog of living in paradise for her ‘21 -158′ film (above).
