Buy Local And Organic
Supermarkets like Tesco provide cheap food, but at what cost?
If possible, try and buy food locally. It reduces the miles it takes your food to get from the ground to you (and saving the environment in the meantime).
The Big Barn is a great website for finding out where to buy fresh local food near you. They even have a map with pound-sign symbols for local shops that are cheaper than the supermarket nearby.
It’s often cheaper to buy local eggs from a farm shop – and you know they haven’t come from caged hens.
The same goes for organic food. It can be slightly pricier, but it is so much better for the environment in the long run.
