One of the best things about cycling is whooshing down hills and feeling like you’re a character from the Famous Five right? So it’s cool to see that Sky and British Cycling are launching a search for the most perfect UK hill to cycle down.

The nationwide poll marks the start of the Sky Ride 2011, a worthy national campaign to get as many people of all ages and abilities cycling as possible. Ideally they’re looking to get 1 million people cycle regularly by 2013 and as massive bike-lovers we hope they succeed as it’ll make the streets safer for everyone.

Anyone can nominate their local hill and the criteria includes location, views, where it takes you, historical significance and what said hill means to you.
