Everyone knows Keala Kennelly is nails. In our recent Pro Chat interview she talks about having her ever worst wipeout at Teahupoo, well this week the Billabong XXL Big Wave Award Winner 2011 topped that and then some. She posted this properly dark photo on her facebook page of another Teahupoo wipeout, which saw her faceplant the reef in monster swells, which also gave Maya Gabeira a bleeding ear. She was taken to hospital to have the coral dug out of her face before receiving 30 stitches. But she was amazingly upbeat on her facebook afterwards, posting “Sorry if you were eating dinner…I look much better now I promise.” Get well soon Keala and massive respect from all of us here!
