Sziget
from August 11, Hungary
This Budapest-based little ripper of a festival has not only been awarded the Best European Major Festival Award but is making itself even bigger, longer and more incredible this year. As well as the big dog himself, a one Mr Snoop Dogg, there are numerous acts to discover and enjoy including: Korn, dEUS, Maximo Park, The Roots, Bebel Gilberto, The XX, Wild Beasts, The Horrors and Lamb.
There are lots of little extras to explore including Holland Meets Hungary Stage, Wine & Fröccs Garden, the arts market on the Sunday, a tent full of logical games, the Olympic and sports venue and the all new Puglia Sounds/Mambo Stage, which will explore some different sounds. Adventures are around every corner, such as getting involved with the Budapest Film Academy project, through which someone will be making a film at the festival as part of a three week summer camp.
