Defy the laws of gravity with this new practice which originates from New York.

A combination of dance, Pilates and traditional yoga, this crazy-sounding practice sounds like you will be in a room full of levitating yogis.

Instead it uses a hammock attached to the ceiling to take you through a series of inversions, balances and seated positions. So book your class and get ready for your yoga routine to turn topsy turvy.

Because our four-legged friends also need to balance their chakras, you can now learn about how to include your dog in your daily yoga practice.

Doga is designed to strengthen your bond with your pet and develop deeper compassion for other living beings.

As well as reducing stress for both you and your pup, you’ll get a chance to socialise with other dog lovers.

Next time your furry friend circles around your yoga mat, you don’t need to shoo him away.

Ramp up the volume, gear up in your brightest neon colours and you’re ready to rave.

Glowga is a new trend that has been taking Instagram by storm. Practiced in a dark room, yogis get splattered in neon paint and enjoy a more heightened awareness which comes from your brain relying more on other senses than your sight.

Classes are occasional and organised by The Wellscene in the UK.

4) HOTPOD YOGA

This takes place in a cocoon-like pod which can hold up to 20 people. The temperature is 37 degrees and helps your muscles to relax and your heart to work harder.

It sounds like an unlikely combination but worth a try for those wanting to push themselves beyond their limit.
