With the warm weather finally amongst us, we had a chat with the amazing Corinne Evans, British surfer and model. With Corinne’s Girls Surf Tour just kicking off, we talked about her career as an Animal freesurfer, and what she thinks of girls portrayal in the media

Hey Corinne, how has your winter been?
Amazing! I spent the vast majority of my time in the UK and I never thought I’d say I’d enjoy winter at home but it’s actually been really good. We had good waves and the intense storms made some great swells to discover new spots that I never thought existed. I did get away and get some winter sunshine in the Canaries. The highlight was this little nature reserve Island called Lobos. Just me and my boyfriend at this perfect right-hand point break. It was 3ft, clean and no one else was there!

What are you looking forward to the most this summer?
It’s my Girls Surf Tour running from April to October in association with Animal. I’m so excited for August 2 because I’m running a surf festival called Surf Betty’s as a part of the tour. It’s going to be everything to do with girls’ surfing AND it’s free! We’re having surf demos, little hair braiding workshops, a surf simulator, Nalu bead workshop, food, music, drinks, everything!
